SYTYCD Losing respect in my eyes

So I've watched "So You Think You Can Dance" since the very first season, and then when the Canadian one came out I started watching that one too. Even when they overlapped and grew so close together that it was hard to keep straight who won from where I was a devoted fan and stuck with them both.
Then the American one started to change it's ways, cutting hours off shows, changing to a new stage and introducing All Stars (old contestants) up onto the stage. Granted it was nice to see them but I would much rather have bonds made between the actual contestants.
This year the Canadian edition was cancelled after it had only completed four seasons, and granted I didn't particularly like the host all that much, but it was CANADIAN and I was patriotic but I thought I still had the American one to watch because I love dance. But they are screwing it up for me.
The auditions used to mean a lot more to me. Now they show only a few good performaces from each city and never any bad ones (not meaning I miss that particularly) then we don't get to know a lot of the later contestants in the early stages. At the Las Vegas round they completed it in a two hour episode which has at LEAST 9 different dance routines that we could be watching and they cut so quickly by it all. Not once did we get to see a whole routine. Especially the group round where it is the own contestants originality and thought put into the piece and I love that round and they blew right past it.
NOW I've learned that there is not only going to be a winner, there will be a boy AND a girl winner when it is sufficient enough to have a runner up and remember one winner from each year. ALSO I have found out that they are cutting the results show ENTIRELY which is not only nuts but is suicidal in all respects because how else do you know who gets voted off until the next week show? Does the audience still get to vote or is it all up to the judges because that is just STUPID this is America's favourite dancer not Nigel and Mary and the guest judges favourites. Where is the drama without the results show and where is the group number that I look forward to every Thursday at the beginning of the results show. I love that group routine and I would not care for it if it was pushed into the Wednesday show because before I had two nights of dance.
Also if there is no results show, how will we see each and individuals own style when the bottom couples have to dance for their lives, what, put that in the Wednesday show as well. NO That willl make the show too long for anyone to watch.
Now all of this is because of declining ratings over the years because younger shows airing at similar times are taking up the spotlight. For me, if you are a devoted fan like myself, you will watch it even though there is that other stuff and the way the show is going about these things, is in the wrong direction.
Even though I am devoted, if they keep on making these changes, I am certain that they will lose many long time fans and I have considered it myself (and would probably have if the Canadian one was still running). All this to regain ratings when they are just digging their own grave.
You can see that I am really angry, mad, upset, and just PO about all the changes, and I don't swear but if I did there would be so many to explain my frustration with the show. Also if I could complain to the actual show itself, I would, but who would listen to one person really. So I am writing it here and hopefully at least one other person who has been a devoted fan like me for the past other 8 seasons will read this and agree to at least some degree.
STOP CHANGING SYTYCD, YOU"LL REGRET IT LATER.
New contestants, new routines, same judges, same host and same format, that's how it always should be.

BLAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

My gosh it's been a long time since I last posted even though nobody even knows about this blog, but hey that's okay because it gives me something to do. SO I've been looking for a job for a little while now and it is frickin depressing. I applied for quite a few jobs and I have had no replies. Granted I don't have very much experience but how are you supposed to have experience at a job if NO ONE WILL GIVE YOU EXPERIENCE and hire an entry level person. It's not like I'm a drop out or anything.  I had one of the highest grades after graduating, I have at least a 4.2 GPA and I took 5 AP exams getting 2 3's and 3 4's and if you don't know what that means, ask your teacher or something. I don't get it, I am capable of working and yet no one's ready to give me a shot. It's frutstrating, oh well, another summer jobless or maybe I'll get one soon. But don't get your hopes up, knock on wood for sure because you don't want the opposite to happen. Anyway, until next time.

This Year

So this year I am planting again in the garden and basically I am planting all the same things except for the celery and cucumbers because they did not grow last year. I still don't know if I'm giving them too much water or too little but I hope this year turns out better than the last. I also planted my tomato seeds right in the garden this year instead of transplanting them. Last year we did the latter and they broke in half. I am very proud of my tomatoes because I got a plant in grade 8 and have been growing them from the seed of the last plant ever since. I hope these grow this year because they are my last chance to continue the 'bloodline' of the grade 8 tomato. (Fingers crossed) good luck out there.

This was the main amount of vegetables I got. I obviously had more beans and had a fair amount of peas but I had picked them earlier (plus I had more beets)

This is just a picture of my sunflower, ain't it pretty :)

Gardening

It's a crazy winter we had this year huh? At least where I live we barely had snow for Christmas and very few storms after that. We actually saw the grass in the beginning of January which never happens. But now the time is getting close for gardening. I started a garden last year with a few things such as; corn, peas, sunflower, beans, beets, carrots, celery and cucumber, I would have had tomatoes too but they died early on from the wind we had blowing through the back yard. I wish I could say it was a good crop but really it was pretty insignificant. We did get a few good bundles, the beets and carrots being the best, but everything was just downsized. The peas were about two peas to a pod (no pun intended) and the cucumber got one little sprout, a bunch of flowers and died. I don't know if it's me, the soil or just the seeds. Maybe a combination. Well if you want to see my garden from last year I'll put a few photos in my next post of the whole garden that I tried to take in intervals.

First Time

This is my first time ever writing a blog and I have no idea if I'm going to stay with it but bear with me while I try this out. I chose the name 'My Memory Palace' from a reference Patrick Jane makes in The Mentalist. Basically you can remember anything if you pin it to a specific object that means something to you. In my case I mean this blog to hold some of my memories and talk about what is dear to me, to an extent. My background for instance is that of water, and for me, water is relaxing and reminds me of the lake where I used to go each summer. However, that was when we had a cabin there and now that's it's sold I find that I miss it more with every day in passing. So this was just an intro, I plan to add more later today or maybe tomorrow but we'll see.
